In addition, below are just a few of the hundreds of  comments I have received back from people about "The Distance: A Triathlete's Journey":

Rich, I just wanted to let you know that I received the dvd yesterday. I started it last night at about 9pm and couldn't turn it off.  I watched the whole thing.  Great documentary. My goal is to compete in an Ironman in the next 1-2 years, so this film gave some inspiration and a slap in the face at the same time. Thanks!

Rich-- Great movie. Was awesome to watch, very inspirational.  Hope to do an Ironman in a couple years and just watching it makes me wanna get out and train. I can relate so much to all of them, especially Josh. You made a great movie and really inspirational. Nice job!

Hey Richard, I just wanted to take a second to say “Thank You!” My wife and I watched the movie over the last two evenings, and all I can say is....WOW!!!  This film truly captured what it takes... the workouts, the sacrifices, and we found ourselves laughing, crying, feeling nervous for the athletes.  The only thing that was hard for us to take, was that it ended!  Thank you for taking the time to make such an incredible film!

Rich,  I just finished watching the movie. I wanted to tell you what a great job you did on this.  I am a 38 year old out of shape guy who is just getting into this sport and this is a truly inspiring tale of what it takes to become an Ironman.  The stories were compelling on so many levels and all of the details of the athletes lives came together very well it had me hooked from the beginning.  I wish you nothing but success in the future and hope that this is just a stepping stone to bigger things for you!!

Hey Richard - LOVED the movie! Of course it was entertaining, but as I watched I really, really got "into" the lives of the characters and like a good book, couldn't "put it down" (i.e., turn it off) until I knew how everyone did. It also provided a great angle for someone training for IM WI

Hey! I just thought I would e-mail you and let you know that your movie ROCKS! I am watching it in bed (looking for some motivation) and it has done the job... AGAIN!

-- Dan

Rich- The movie was great...I have actually watched it 3 times already! I thought it was beautifully done and you really capture the emotions and the sacrifices required to do this sport.

Hi Rich, I finally sat down and watched the movie last night with a fellow tri-enthusiast. It was AWESOME! It's great motivation for those lazy days to get up and go work out! Or possible to sign up for a half Ironman one day :)

Hi Richard-- I just finished watching The Distance and really enjoyed it. Nice job. I'm in Denver, CO, getting ready for my first Olympic distance tri--mostly doing sprints. As a physician and an athlete, I was really fascinated with all three of the triathletes you followed. Would love to hear how they've done since then. Great to hear from their families, too. Thanks again!

I bought the THE DISTANCE DVD for my husband for Christmas. The Hawaii Ironman is on his bucket list. We're both endurance athletes. We thoroughly LOVED and enjoyed, and were further inspired by the DVD. GREAT WORK. Was really great to see real life people being profiled and interviewed and followed. Especially appreciated the authenticity and honesty.
